Christian Frähn Medal awarded to State Counsellor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev 03.11.2022

First President of Tatarstan received the award during a meeting with the Russian Historical Society (RHS) on 1 November.

The meeting was a part of the conference ‘Restoration, conservation and museumification of archeological wood and organic materials’.

The guests were Chairman of the Board of the Russian Historical Society (RHS) Konstantin Mogilevsky, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Director of the Institute of Archeology of RAS Nikolay Makarov, and Academician of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Science Shahin Mustafaev.

They were joined by Lenar Safin, Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin, Director of the Khalikov Institute of Archeology (Tatarstan Academy of Sciences) Ayrat Sitdikov, Director of the Sviyazhsk Town-Island Museum Reserve Artyom Silkin, Director of the KFU’s Institute of International Relations Ramil Khayrutdinov, and others.

The sides discussed historical education and science in universities and other institutions.

Apart from the Frähn Medal, Mintimer Shaimiev received a letter of gratitude from the RHS.
